CAROLINE Tawa was all smiles as she stood with her sons after receiving her Bachelor of Business Management Certificate during the 43rd DWU graduation held here in Port Moresby recently.

Hailing from Ialibu in Southern Highlands, 50 year old Tawa is a mother of four who celebrated 30 years with the department last year.

She says her decision to enroll in the Bachelor of Management program with the DWU was a decision not taken lightly.

“I made the decision to improve my qualifications and now that that is done, I can look forward for better things to come,” says Tawa.

Tawa added that the program has equipped her with the knowledge and skills to think ethically, critically and reflectively to demonstrate professional values, and solve problems in a variety of settings taking local and international perspectives into account.

“The skills gained will help me in my working environment to manage people harmoniously and productively, and work both autonomously and collaboratively,” said Tawa.

She says that she owes her achievements to her God, her family and the department.

“Thank you to the department especially the Secretary, the HR team, my supervisor who and everyone at DPM who helped to facilitate or had a hand in making this possible.
