ICT is Way Forward, says Sansan.

THE Department of Personnel Management Secretary and Chairlady of SILAG Taise Sansan  has thanked the Republic of Korea Ambassador for the timely donation of ICT equipment to the Somare Institute of Leadership and Governance. 

Sansan said that this year Papua New Guinea turns 50 years and it’s an year of celebrations for us.

“On behalf of the board of  SILAG, we want to say thank you to the Republic of Korea, its Ambassador and government for this much needed donation of ICT equipment.

“The importance and use of ICT in the world has never being more vital and Papua New Guinea is no different. We all need to move in that direction of development,” said Sansan.

“ICT is the way forward and process of the public service, automate our business processes and systems, respond quickly to clients and customers.

The need to connect the National Capital District and the city  to outside districts  and provinces is currently the biggest challenge we are faced with.

“Through the Department of ICT who are leading the way for the government and our office to improve and develop the public service systems such as the payroll, automating the general orders  to ease access to some government services, these are some examples.

Sansan urged public servants to take care of this new ICT equipment and use this equipment to get the best form of learning possible, build capacity of ourselves and use the Republic of Korea as an example of advancement and development of its country.

“Through the hard working efforts of public servants who have paved the way forward for the country through learning and education for its human resource development.
